Stevioside is new natural, low-calorie sweetener extracted from the dried leaf of Stevia rebaudiana (Bertoni) Hemsl, with good water solubility, good heat resistance, good stability, high sweetness, good taste, low solvent residue advantages, widely used in the production of food, beverage and seasoning.
The caloric value of Stevioside is only 1/300 of that of sucrose. It is not absorbed by the human body after ingestion and does not generate heat.
