Gynostemma Extract is the dried whole herb extract of Gynostemma pentaphyllum (Thunb.) Makino. It is free flowing powder with characteristic odor and taste. Widely used in health care products, dietary supplements, food additives, functional drinks fields.
Gypenosides are extracted from the plant Gynostemma pentaphyllum. Like ginsenosides, it belongs to tetracyclic triterpenoid masaponins, and more than 80 kinds of gypenosides can be isolated from Gynostemma pentaphyllum, among which gypenosides III, IV, VII, and XII are the same as ginsenosides Rb1, Rb3, Rd, and F2 respectively. The same substance, gypenoside V-AH is the same as ginsenoside Rg3, and gypenoside I is enzymatically decomposed to obtain ginsenoside K. So it is a ginsenoside analogue. It is noteworthy that, because the aglycone skeleton structure of gypenoside and ginsenoside is the same, part of gypenoside can be converted into rare ginsenoside in the body. Gypenoside is bitter and odorless. Soluble in water and hot ethanol. Insoluble in ether and benzene. The reason why Gypenoside is "magical" is that its ginsenoside composition is several times higher than that of ginseng. Gypenoside is widely used in health products, cosmetics, and animal husbandry. Studies have shown that Gynostemma pentaphyllum has no side effects of overdose, and it is a new medicinal and edible plant resource.
